Pookie Pets is an Australian family-owned pet business focused on helping pets live safer, healthier and happier lives.

Founded by Natasha, a qualified veterinary nurse with more than 15 years of experience, Pookie Pets combines practical animal-care knowledge with products created and selected for real Australian pets and their families.

Meet Natasha

Before starting Pookie Pets, Natasha spent more than 15 years working in veterinary clinics and hospitals. During that time, she cared for animals through every stage of life—from newborn puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring comfort and compassionate care.

Working closely with pets, veterinary professionals and worried pet parents provided an honest understanding of what animals need—and how important it is for owners to feel confident about the products they bring into their homes.

Those experiences continue to guide every part of Pookie Pets today.

Why Pookie Pets Exists

Pookie Pets was created to make trustworthy pet products easier to find. Our goal is not to offer everything imaginable. It is to build a carefully considered range that supports pet safety, health, enrichment and everyday enjoyment.

We specialise in two areas that are especially close to our hearts:

Our freeze-dried treats are handmade in Sydney in small batches. The range includes meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables, meal toppers and novel-protein options for dogs, cats and other suitable pets.

Freeze-drying removes moisture while helping preserve the natural flavour, aroma and texture of the original ingredient. It creates lightweight, highly appealing treats that can be used for training, enrichment, rewards or meal topping.

Reflective Walking Gear for Safer Adventures

Our reflective collection was created after recognising how difficult dogs can be to see during night walks, early starts, roadside stops, camping trips and other low-light situations.

The collection includes reflective dog harnesses, collars and walking accessories designed to return light when illuminated by headlights, streetlights or a torch. Reflective material does not create its own light, but it can help make a dog more noticeable when light reaches it.
