Choose the Right Fruit for Your Pet
Fruit should always be offered in moderation. Dogs may enjoy suitable fruits as occasional treats, while cats do not need fruit and should only receive a tiny amount if it is appropriate for them. Rabbits and guinea pigs should have fruit sparingly because of its natural sugar, and bird-safe choices depend on the species.
Fruit is not suitable for every animal, including ferrets and degus. Always check the individual product description, introduce new foods gradually and ask your veterinarian if your pet has a medical condition or special dietary needs.
